South Knox Natural Gas Project

March 16, 2018 UPDATE – Cleary Construction crews completed installation of the first section of natural gas main with a road crossing near 304 Tipton Station Road this past week. Pipeline installation will continue in the off-road areas near this section of Tipton Station Road early next week. Work Zone Shift Update: Beginning at 7 a.m., Tuesday, March 20, and lasting through 6 p.m., Friday, March 23, crews are scheduled to move to the area around 124 Henry Haynes Road for another pipeline installation road crossing. This section of Henry Haynes Road will be closed to through traffic continuously during the dates and times listed above. Alternate routes around the work zone include Tipton Station Road, Henry Haynes Road, Babs Road, W. Marine Road, and Chapman Highway. Area residents were notified by mail about the road closure, and a traffic advisory will be issued to local media outlets early next week.

(South Knoxville) Road Closure – Henry Haynes Road [March 20-23] – KUB contract crews will implement a closure of a short section of Henry Haynes Road between Chapman Highway and Babs Road from 7 a.m., Tuesday, March 20, through 5 p.m., Friday, March 23, as work is performed on the natural gas distribution system in the area. Alternate routes include W. Marine Road, Babs Road, and Tipton Station Road, and local traffic access will be maintained. Appropriate signage and flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control. Follow-up advisories will be issued as necessary.
