West Hills Area Natural Gas Project

September 22, 2017 West Hills Area Natural Gas Main Replacement Project Update – KUB Underground Construction Crews have installed 2,350 feet of new plastic natural gas main on Bennington Drive and Sheffield Drive.

Boring crews have completed installation of in the new main on Bennington Drive. Crews will finish up work on Bennington Drive over the next several weeks by connecting customers’ service lines and connecting sections of main to make it active.

Boring crews were scheduled to continue work on Sheffield Drive to finish out this week before moving over to Corteland Drive to work on the section between Sheffield Drive and Bennington Drive early next week.

As a reminder, this project is scheduled to be completed in four zones over the next 18-24 months. Please see the Project Information Sheet & Map in the column to the right for more details related to this project.

This work may require temporary lane closures in the immediate work zone. Motorists and residents are also reminded to watch for the presence of workers, equipment, and vehicles in the area.

KUB Underground Construction crews perform “potholing” excavation work to locate existing underground utilities this past week in the 7800 block of Sheffield Drive.
