West Hills Area Natural Gas Project

September 29, 2017 West Hills Area Natural Gas Main Replacement Project Update – KUB Underground Construction (UGC) Crews performed potholing work (minor excavation to locate existing buried utilities) this past week on Corteland Drive, between Sheffield Drive and Bennington Drive.

Boring crews are scheduled to follow potholing crews on this section of Corteland Drive next week.

Additionally, UGC crews are scheduled to begin connecting the new sections of natural gas main along Bennington Drive, between the Corteland Drive (east) and Sheffield Drive intersections, next week.

Crews will begin work connecting customers’ service lines once all sections of the new main have been connected in this area.

As a reminder, this project is scheduled to be completed in four zones over the next 18-24 months. Please see the Project Information Sheet & Map in the column to the right for more details related to this project.

This work may require temporary lane closures in the immediate work zone. Motorists and residents are also reminded to watch for the presence of workers, equipment, and vehicles in the area.
