The
above-mentioned streets will remain closed to through traffic for the duration
of this project, which is scheduled for completion in February 2019. See map
for installation areas. Flaggers, signs, and other necessary traffic control
measures will be in place in association with these closures.
Wastewater
Rehabilitation Phase 1 – Closed-circuit TV inspections of
wastewater system pipes and manhole repair requiring intermittent lane closures
between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. will continue on Arrowhead Trail (between Lyons View
Pike and Blows Ferry Road) through February 8, 2019. Mellen Avenue will serve
as an alternate route. Pipe lining crews will work on Towanda Trail and in an
off-road easement east of Kingston Park Drive next week. No digging will be
required as part of this work; however, there will be daily intermittent lane
closures on Towanda Trail to set up equipment and vehicles associated with the
pipe lining process. See attached map.
Wastewater
Rehabilitation Phase 2 – Pre-construction activities, including
closed-circuit TV inspections of existing wastewater pipes and manholes, are
scheduled to begin in the Phase 2 work area of Sequoyah Hills the week of
February 11. There may be temporary intermittent lane closures on area roads as
vehicles and equipment associated with the inspection work are present. Full
construction activity requiring longer lane and road closures will begin in
following weeks. Customers can continue to monitor the progress of work in
Phase 2, including information on active work zones and traffic impacts, via
this blog. Additionally, customers throughout Sequoyah Hills will receive
notice by mail prior to the start of construction activities. See the attached
Sequoyah Hills construction phases map.
