January 4, 2018 UPDATE – A
second round of pressuring testing was completed this week on the entire length
of new 36-inch water transmission main installed over the past year between
Blackstock Avenue and E. Summit Hill Drive. Remaining work includes a repair in
the shoulder area on the south side of Willow Avenue (east of the Patton Street
intersection with no impacts to traffic) and connecting the new water
transmission line to the existing main at the intersection of Patton Street and
E. Summit Hill Drive. As part of this work, Patton Street will remain closed
between Drew Avenue and E. Summit Hill Drive, and closure of the westbound
curbside lane on E. Summit Hill Drive near the Patton Street intersection. One
westbound lane and both eastbound lanes will remain open. Access to local
businesses will also be maintained.

Lane, Patton Street Road Closure [January 7-9] – KUB
contract crews will implement the below traffic control measures from 7 a.m.,
Monday, January 7, through 5 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, as work is performed
on the water distribution system in the area:
- Westbound, curbside lane of E. Summit Hill Drive at the
Patton Street intersection closed. One westbound lane and both eastbound
lanes will remain open, as will turn access to area businesses.
- Patton Street between Willow Avenue and Campbell Avenue
closed. N. Central Street is the alternate route.
Flaggers and signs will be on site
to assist with traffic control, and follow-up advisories will be issued as
necessary.
