The eastbound curbside lane
will be closed as part of construction with the center turn lane used to shift
traffic and maintain two lanes of flow on this section of Neyland Drive. Both
westbound lanes of traffic will remain open on this section of Neyland Drive
with normal traffic flow. Due to traffic flow shifting to the center turn lane,
eastbound traffic will not be permitted to make left-hand turns on this section
of Neyland Drive.
In addition to the lane shifts
on Neyland Drive, there will be intermittent closures on the section of Neyland
Greenway located behind the Kuwahee Treatment Plant near the Tennessee River.
This section of Neyland
Greenway will otherwise remain open, and KUB will coordinate with City of
Knoxville Parks and Recreation to communicate any closures well ahead of time.
The TWRA boat
ramp on Neyland Drive will be accessible only to emergency vehicles during this
period.
