Sequoyah Hills Wastewater/Water Project

January 25, 2019 UPDATE – Noelton Drive Water Main Replacement Project – Two KUB Underground Construction crews started installation of the new water main at the north and south ends of Noelton Drive this week. Tie-in valves were installed near the Kingston Pike and Alta Vista Way intersections, and approximately 300 feet of water main has been installed this week. Work has not yet started on Chippewa Circle and Dogwood Lane.

The above-mentioned streets will remain closed to through traffic for the duration of this project, which is scheduled for completion in February 2019. See map for installation areas. Flaggers, signs, and other necessary traffic control measures will be in place in association with these closures. Work will not take place on January 21 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Wastewater Rehabilitation Phase 1 – Closed-circuit TV inspections of wastewater system pipes and manhole repair will require intermittent lane closures between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Arrowhead Trail (between Lyons View Pike and Blows Ferry Road) through February 1, 2019. Mellen Avenue will serve as an alternate route. See attached map.

Wastewater Rehabilitation Phase 2 – KUB is finalizing details related to the start of Phase 2 of the wastewater collection system rehabilitation project in the Sequoyah Hills area. Information about this phase of the project will be communicated on this blog and social media platforms once details have been finalized. Additionally, customers in Sequoyah Hills will receive notice by mail prior to the start of construction activities. See attached map showing construction phase areas.


(Sequoyah Hills Area) Arrowhead Trail Road Closure [January 28 – February 1] – KUB contract crews will close Arrowhead Trail between Lyons View Pike and Blows Ferry Road from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily, starting Monday, January 28, through Friday, February 1, as work is performed on the wastewater collection system in the area. The road will be closed during work hours only for wastewater system work not requiring excavation. Signs will be on site to help with traffic control. Follow-up advisories will be issued as necessary.
