Wastewater
Rehabilitation Phase 1 – Construction requiring
intermittent lane closures between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. will take place on Alta
Vista Way near the Blows Ferry Road intersection. Hurst
Excavating and its subcontractors will continue paving and restoration work in
the following areas with daily intermittent lane closures, as weather permits,
through next week: Towanda Trail, Kingston Park Drive, and in off-road
easements near Shawnee Lane and Hiawatha Drive.
(Sequoyah Hills Area)
Towanda Trail Road Closure [January 14-18] – KUB contract crews will
close Towanda Trail between Kingston Pike and Shawnee Lane from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
daily, starting Monday, January 14, through Friday, January 18, as work is
performed on the wastewater collection system in the area. The road will be
closed during work hours only for paving and restoration. Signs will be on site
to help with traffic control. Follow-up advisories will be issued as necessary.
(Sequoyah
Hills Area) Noelton Drive, Dogwood Lane, and Chippewa Circle Lane Closures
[January 14-18] – KUB
crews will implement lane closures on Noelton Drive, Dogwood Lane, and Chippewa
Circle from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily starting Monday, January 14, through Friday,
January 18, as saw-cutting and construction prep work is completed in the
roadways ahead of a planned water main replacement project in these areas. Flaggers and signs will be on site to assist with traffic
control. Follow-up advisories will be issued prior to the start of construction
activities.
