Sequoyah Hills Wastewater Project

May 11, 2018 UPDATE – This past week, Hurst Excavating subcontractor crews worked in the off-road easement along back property lines between Alta Vista Way and Valencia Road. Restoration crews are scheduled to work in this area and along a section of off-road easement near Blows Ferry Road next week. There are no traffic impacts for work in those areas. Starting next Monday, May 14, and lasting through May 26, crews will close Valencia Road between Noelton Drive and Alta Vista Way for wastewater main rehabilitation. This section of Valencia Road will remain closed to through traffic; however, access to driveways will be maintained. Paving and restoration will continue to work on the south end of Mellen Drive, and short sections of Scenic Drive, Taliluna Avenue, Cherokee Boulevard, and Kenesaw Avenue next week. Temporary lane closures with alternating traffic flow will be used in the immediate work zone where paving crews are present.

(Sequoyah Hills Area) Road Closure – Valencia Road [May 14 – June 8] – KUB contract crews will close Valencia Road to through traffic daily from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, starting Monday, May 14, through Friday, June 8, as work is performed on the wastewater collection system in the area. Local traffic access for residents will be maintained, and the roadway will be reopened after work hours and on weekends.  Appropriate signage and flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control. Follow-up advisories will be issued as necessary.
