May 18, 2018 UPDATE – This past week, Hurst
Excavating subcontractor crews continued work in the off-road easement along
back property lines between Alta Vista Way and Valencia Road. Restoration crews
are scheduled to work in this area next week. There are no traffic impacts for
work in off-road easement areas. Crews will maintain the road closure on
Valencia Road between Noelton Drive and Alta Vista Way for wastewater main
rehabilitation the week of May 21-25. Driveways will continue to be accessible.
Crews will also rehabilitate and test manholes in off-road, back lot easements
at the south end of Blows Ferry Road. Paving and restoration will
continue to work on the south end of Mellen Drive and Cherokee Boulevard (near
the Southgate Road intersection). Temporary lane closures with alternating
traffic flow will be used in the immediate work zone where paving crews are
present. No work will be performed, and all lanes and
roads will be reopened, over the Memorial Day holiday.
