Sequoyah Hills Wastewater Project

July 6, 2018 UPDATE – Hurst Excavating continued open-cut trench work along Wilani Road this week. Due to the depth of excavation in this area, Wilani Road will remain closed continuously to through traffic between Taliluna Avenue and Southgate Road through July 13. Access will be maintained to driveways on Wilani Road. Subcontractor pipe-bursting crews finished work in the vicinity of Calumet Drive and Blows Ferry Road. Paving and restoration crews will work in this area next week. Pipe-bursting crews will continue work along Arrowhead Trail, up to Lyons View Pike. Driveway repairs will also continue at the south end of Mellen Drive. NOTES: As indicated on this week’s map, the City of Knoxville is currently working on the stormwater system on Noelton Drive and Hiawatha Drive. This is not part of KUB’s work in the area. TRAFFIC ADVISORY 


(Sequoyah Hills) Sequoyah Hills Area Road Closures [Extended, July 9-13] – KUB contract crews will implement the below road closures as needed daily, Monday-Friday, from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., July 9-13, as work continues on the wastewater collection system in the area:
·         Arrowhead Trail between Blows Ferry Road and Lyons View Pike
·         Arrowhead Trail between Blows Ferry Road and Dogwood Lane
·         Blows Ferry Road between Arrowhead Trail and Calumet Drive

Reminder that Wilani Road between Southgate Road and Taliluna Avenue will remain closed continuously through July 13 due to extensive excavation. Access to area homes will be maintained, and flaggers and signs will be on site to assist with traffic control. Roadways will be re-opened outside of work hours.  Follow-up advisories will be issued as necessary.
