Sequoyah Hills Wastewater Project

SEQUOYAH HILLS July 20, 2018 UPDATE – Hurst Excavating continued open-cut trench work along Wilani Road this past week. Due to the depth of excavation in this area, Wilani Road will remain closed continuously to through traffic between Taliluna Avenue and Southgate Road through July 27. Access will be maintained to driveways on Wilani Road. Subcontractor paving and restoration crews will continue work in the Calumet Drive area next week. Pipe-bursting crews will continue work along Arrowhead Trail, up to Lyons View Pike. This past week, pipe-lining crews closed the eastbound lane of Kingston Pike between Noelton Drive and Towanda Trail from July 18-20. All lanes of Kingston Pike will reopen to normal traffic flow beginning this weekend. Lining crews also closed one lane on Scenic Drive on Monday, July 16. Next Monday, July 23, crews are scheduled to work in an off-road easement near Kingston Park Drive. NOTES: KUB and Hurst Excavating have noticed that grass recently planted as part of yard restoration has started to turn brown due to hot, dry weather. Those areas will be readdressed by the contractor as temperatures decrease during the fall growing season. As indicated on this week’s map, the City of Knoxville is currently working on the stormwater system on Noelton Drive and Hiawatha Drive. This is not part of KUB’s work in the area. Please contact the City of Knoxville at 311 for more information about their work in this area.
