South Knox Natural Gas Project

July 13, 2018 UPDATE – Pipeline Installation/Testing: Cleary Construction crews continued installation of the new natural gas main in off-road easements along Chapman Highway. No road closures are scheduled for next week; however, the righthand turn lane on Chapman Highway (between the IHOP/CVS entrance and Mountain Grove Road) will remain closed through August 3, as listed on the map. Next week, crews will continue restoration work in the off-road easements. The contractor will also begin testing the new main next week to check for leaks. Testing activities will be focused in the Tipton Station Road and Chapman Highway areas. Gate Station: Blount Excavating crews continued site clearing and grading work in preparation for construction of the new natural gas gate station located at 304 Tipton Station Road. Periodic temporary lane closures may be needed in this area of Tipton Station Road as construction equipment and materials are unloaded.
