November 2, 2018 UPDATE – Final Project Update: ZONE
4 – As of
November 2, construction has been completed on Dorchester Drive and New Castle
Drive, which concludes all natural gas pipeline installations in the West Hills
area one month ahead of the scheduled December 2018 completion date.
Right-of-way restoration work will continue in the neighborhood over the next
several weeks. This will be the final blog update for this project. Please call
KUB at 558-2331 if you have questions about restoration activities. The overall
project, which started in August 2017, included the following:
- Zone
1: 7,200
feet of new main and 64 service connections (completed mid-April 2018)
- Zone
2: 9,100
feet of new main and 84 service connections (completed September 2018)
- Zone
3: 11,000
feet of new main and 115 service connections (completed July 2018)
- Zone
4: 9,400
feet of new main and 103 service connections (completed November 2018)

Zone 4 included added work on Buckingham Drive, Dorchester Drive, and New
Castle Drive.
Totals: 36,700 feet of new main and
366 service connections
